Parents all over the country are united with a common task at this time of the year – school supply labelling. Scrap books, project books, dictionaries, pencils, pens, crayons, textas, oil pastels, sharpeners, rulers, pencil cases, files and folders all must be personalised with the name of your youngsters.

There is a myriad of options available to assist/torment you with this task so I will show you my weapons of choice.

They may not look impressive but they get the job done.

A Brother P-Touch model PT-1010 in which I use 2 sized tapes. The 3.5mm for pencils, textas, pens and their ilk, and the 12mm for books, files and folders.

A Sharpie, cheep and cheerful and oh so versatile.

If you have yet to embark on this nightmare adventure with your children just remember you don’t need to make it difficult for yourself. Happy labelling.
